Liga MX Femenil viewing guide: 2024 Clausura, Week 13

Heading into the international break, one team can clinch a Liguilla berth while two could begin offseason planning

Heading into the international break, it could be a week where we see our first team clinch a spot in the Liguilla, as well as a couple of teams be mathematically eliminated from contention. With a win and some favorable results elsewhere, Tigres could be the first team to secure a spot in the playoffs with a win at Puebla and a few other matches working out in their favor.

On the other end of things, Pumas and León both not losing would eliminate Santos Laguna and San Luis, even if they manage to beat their opponents. Since Santos hosts Pumas in the final game of the week, it should be desperation mode for Las Guerreras.

Game of the Week

While there are a couple of clásicos this weekend, I don’t think either of them are going to be the best viewing. There’s always a chance to mix it up of course, but América and Cruz Azul are miles apart in terms of quality and ability to execute, and the same could be said of Chivas and Atlas. The good news is that these games are going to be (legally!) available in both the US and in México.

I think there are going to be several other really good games this weekend as well, with Rayadas and Tijuana facing off against one another as well as a game between evenly-matched Querétaro and Necaxa. For me however, I have to go with Juárez vs. Toluca. Both have been a bit streaky this season but I think both realize the importance of getting all three points and going into the break on a high note. While this game will be (legally!) available in México, fans in the United States are not so lucky this time around.
