Liga MX Femenil viewing guide: 2024 Clausura, Week 10

With all of the players back from international duty, Liga MX Femenil gears up for the final sprint toward the Liguilla.

While Liga MX Femenil was back last week, all of the players have returned from international duty. I won’t pretend I had hoped that México would have a W Gold Cup Final date this weekend, but I’m happy with how the team performed overall and hope that people who hadn’t heard of Jacquie Ovalle or Mayra Pelayo before follow them in their professional league.

Game of the Week

Technically speaking, Xolos Femenil hosting Pachuca is a Week 10 game and should be a banger, but it’s postponed until April 25th so that won’t really help anyone looking for a game to watch this weekend. I think Atlas vs. Pumas will be very good and in a new development, will be one of the first games (legally!) available in the United States but not in México thanks to an ongoing dispute between Orlegi Sports (owner of Atlas and Santos Laguna) and FOX Sports México.

The game of the week for me however will be León vs. Rayadas. I think this León team is for real, and playing in Guanajuato is always a chore for teams. On top of that, Rayadas will be getting some players back from international duty, which between the added travel and game minutes could put them at a disadvantage. This one will unfortunately not be (legally!) available in the United States, but it should be a great viewing with ramifications that will be felt as the season makes its way toward the Liguilla.
