Some really good games mark the midway point of the season

No extra games this week, which is a bittersweet feeling. I’ve kind of become accustomed to watching 10 to 12 games a week, so I’m not entirely sure what I’ll do with all of the extra free time. Maybe gardening. Anyway, all of the games will be (legally!) available in México with all but a few (legally!) available in the US.

There are some good games on tap this week too. Pumas hosting Atlas with major Liguilla implications should be a good test for both teams, and Juárez has the potential to hand Pachuca their first setback of the season when they host Tuzos Femenil.

Game of the Week

For Game of the Week, I’ll go with León hosting Tijuana. León’s season has been up and down, but I think they’re still a good team that with some luck could if not make the playoffs, spoil the aspirations of some teams who will. Tijuana could be one of those teams. Xolos Femenil sit in sixth and are perhaps the most under-the-radar sixth place team in recent memory. I like how these teams match up too, with Tijuana’s goalscoring prowess being put up against León’s stingy defense.
