Liga MX Femenil viewing guide: 2024 Apertura, Week 13

With some teams' seasons at a crossroads, this could prove a pivotal week for a lot of teams.

Wake up! Wake up!

It’s not the first of the month, but rather the start of a new week of Liga MX Femenil games. It’s a weird week, with one of the games (Cruz Azul playing Atlas to a 0-0 draw) having happened back on July 28th and a Week 3 game (Rayadas hosting Santos) happening. The good news is that all games will be (legally!) available in México and six of the nine (legally!) available in the US.

Game of the Week

With Chivas sinking like a stone, their season is really on the brink at the moment. They’re winless in their last four games, starting with a 7-0 thrashing at the hands of eternal rivals América. Sitting in eighth place with 20 points, they need to keep teams like Tijuana (18 points), Querétaro (18 points), and Toluca (17 points) from catching up or leapfrogging them this week.

They’ll be hosting Tigres, who despite maybe not looking like the strongest version of Las Amazonas that we’ve ever seen, are still atop the league with 34 points. Their only blemish is a 0-0 draw against their eternal rivals Rayadas, which seems to have served as a moment to re-group and re-focus.
