Liga MX Femenil viewing guide: 2024 Apertura, Week 12
Doble jornada? Doble jornada!
Good news for all of you who missed my newsletter two weeks ago - this week is a doble jornada, meaning I’m doing this again on a Wednesday. And look I’ll level with you - this midweek slate of games might not be as good as last week’s, but to be fair last week’s games were all really good.
That’s not to say this week’s games are all only going to be for the sickos, but there are a couple that are headed for being really heavy defeats (say a prayer for Santos, Puebla, and Necaxa fans). But there will be some quality matches, with all of them (legally!) available in México and six of the eight (legally!) available in the United States.
Game of the Week
While Pumas vs. Chivas should be a really good one, I think Querétaro hosting Juárez is going to be the best of the bunch this week. Both games have Liguilla implications, however Querétaro is in the eighth and final spot with 18 points and Juárez is in tenth place with 17 points. This result will be absolutely massive, and both teams should feel pretty good coming into it. Querétaro held a potent Pumas offense scoreless in CU, while Juárez got a stoppage time winner against a Cruz Azul side that threw everything they had at them.
It was also announced late Tuesday that this match, which was originally scheduled for Wednesday would be postponed until Thursday.
