Liga MX Femenil viewing guide: 2024 Clausura, Week 1

Not even a full week into the new year and Liga MX Femenil is back up and ready to go. I’m so excited to see what the new season brings as the plans laid out over these past few weeks by teams either come to fruition or face some cold doses of reality.

It appears as if all games will (legally!) be available in México, while those of us in the US will be able to (legally!) watch all but a couple of them. The good news for my Mexican readers is that it looks like all of the games on ViX will be on regular Vix and not the ViX+ premium service, which should boost visibility of the games. It also helps that there aren’t many other games going on during this time, so there should be more eyes on these games than ever before (advertisers, take note and give these teams and these channels your dollars and pesos).

Game of the Week

While there’s a legitimate argument to be made that all of these games should be good because of it being a fresh start for the teams and finally getting a look at all of the changes, I am not going to weasel out of picking on the first week, dear reader. I think Chivas vs. Xolos Femenil should be one of the better matches because I think both of these teams will be facing one another in the Liguilla. Chivas is a perennial powerhouse, and they’ve done well to keep the continuity there at the project. Xolos Femenil has as well, however getting significant upgrades at some key positions. This should be a fun one despite both teams probably needing a few minutes to get rid of some of the rust, and it being on YouTube ensures everyone can watch too.
