Liga MX Femenil viewing guide: 2023 Apertura, Week 13

There are a decent slate of games this weekend. Another week where the teams are all more-or-less evenly matched up, which should make for good viewing. And thankfully the majority of them will be available to (legally!) watch in both the United States and México.

Game of the Week

Rayadas played a midweek friendly in Kansas City and will fly back and host Querétaro in the final match of the week, and I think this one will be a fun one to watch. I don’t think Rayadas have played to their potential this season but I do think they’re a quality team. They looked decent against the Kansas City Current in the 1-0 loss and have only one regular season loss, a 1-0 loss at Chivas. Their five draws, which may seem like a lot for Rayadas, were all against teams in the Liguilla hunt.

Querétaro meanwhile I think is playing at about their level - they’re an ok team that no one in this league should take lightly. While not the defensive juggernaut they were last season (their 18 goals allowed ties them for seventh best in the league with León), they have found a more balanced approach and sit just four points out of a playoff spot.

Both teams are in the mix to make (or miss) the Liguilla, and the three points available would give the winner an immense push going into the playoffs.
