Liga MX Femenil viewing guide: 2023 Clausura, Week 5

Not a bad week viewing-wise, with seven of nine games legally available in the United States. Of note is the Rayadas-Querétaro match, which because of a Super Bowl show on FOX Deportes will be available on the FOX Sports app only.

Game of the Week

It looks like there will be several good matches this weekend, but since I have to pick just one for this segment so I’ll go with Cruz Azul vs. Pumas. Both teams are about equal in my opinion, however both are on different trajectories. Cruz Azul look like a solid pick to make the Liguilla while Pumas have underperformed, perhaps hitting a nadir last week by blowing a 2-0 lead to lose 3-2 to Pachuca in CU.

The cross-town nature of the rivalry should add a little bit of flavor, but even without that these teams should both approach this as a winnable game and an opportunity to take control of their own destiny for the remainder of the season.
