Pachuca’s Jenni Hermoso sat for an interview with the British edition of GQ Magazine, where she was honored as one of the 2023 GQ Men of the Year.

Lindsay Gibbs published this great look back at one of the defining moments of Rapinoe’s career - her kneeling in solidarity with Colin Kaepernick and the night the opposing club thought it would be a good idea to pre-empt her protest by not allowing the players to come out for the national anthem.

Speaking of the NWSL, they reached a multiyear media rights agreement with ESPN to televise matches in the US and Latin America in English, Spanish, and Portuguese. (ESPN)
In other NWSL news, Jenna Tonelli interviewed Becki Tweed after she was named as Angel City FC’s new head coach. (The Messenger)
The World Leagues Forum was established in San Diego ahead of the NWSL Championship. Comprised of heads of 41 members from five of FIFA’s six federations, it’s doing the work to create a platform for all of “the professional football leagues on a world level with political and sport bodies and foster cooperation between them.” (World Leagues Forum)
IFFHS released their Women’s Club Continental Rankings for OFC, Concacaf, CAF, AFC, CONMEBOL, and UEFA. In case you’re wondering, Barcelona is the top overall with 577 points. (IFFHS)
Hammarby won the Damallsvenskan, Sweden’s top division. Their club has been one of the few in Europe to go out of their way to integrate their women’s team in with their men’s, which lead to scenes like this during the final, which was away at BK Häcken.
Don’t ever let them tell you no one pays attention to women’s soccer.
